J.D. NEUHAUS GmbH & Co. KG
J.D. NEUHAUS GmbH & Co. KG (or simply JDN) is one of the oldest machine manufacturers the world. The history of this family owned company starts in 1745, when Johann Diederich Neuhaus built his first wooden shaft winch. The company history evolved from producing winches for locks and horse-drawn barges, winches for lifting railway carriages and for loading goods, winches for coal mines to the historic milestone in 1952, with the construction of a hoist with a compressed-air driven vane motor. This being a decisive advantage for the flourishing underground mining industry helped JDN to evolve further and become a world market leading manufacturer of lifting equipment for difficult, hazardous and potentially explosive work areas.
JDN lifting equipment is used worldwide for operation in the most extreme and hazardous environmental work conditions that characterize underground mining, tunnelling, chemical, onshore/offshore, oil/gas, shipbuilding, paint shops and other industries, specially where explosion-proof equipment acc. to ATEX of the highest rank is required.
